Originally from Belfast, I relocated here 4 years ago for a position with a National Rehabilitation Centre in the Southwest. I qualified as a Sports Therapist in 1999, before I made the decision to return to education and study Sports Therapy to Degree Level. I am now a member of the Society of Sports Therapists and spend most of my time with local athletes, sports teams (Exeter FC) and clubs. I have also worked with the N. Ireland FA, Irish Basketball Association, professional boxers and Commonwealth Games athletes. I specialise in soft tissue treatments of musculoskeletal problems such as back pain, shoulder pain and neck pain. Many of my treatments include advice on home exercise and self treatment. Treatments will look to address the biomechanical source of discomfort, rather than the area of pain alone. I will often work in partnership with fellow health professionals as part of a multidisciplinary team to ensure a high level of care is offered to each client.
