Fascial Release workshop with James Earls

This weekend we have hosted a workshop with James Earls from Kinesis Uk. The workshop focused on application of Anatomy Trains and Fascial techniques to work on the challenging and sensitive pelvic areas. This workshop is infact part of James' latest and much awaited book Fascial Release for Structural Balance which is an absolute must for any massage practitioner or bodyworker of any sort!

In the 2 days we worked on areas I never thought i would ever be able to touch, never mind work with it! And for those who think the Psoas cannot be palpated or directly worked on, may i assure you absolutely can. The course covered Body Reading, anatomical review of the pelvic area within the Anatomy Trains and fascia approach and we learned 15-20 core techniques for stretching, opening the deep lateral rotators, the adductors, groin and pelvic floor muscles. Practitioners from all disciplines attended, Chiropractors, Osteopaths, Physiotherapists and of course Massage Therapists. People came from all over England and far afield. One physiotherapist came from Poland and one from Holland.

We will be hosting James Earls again next year 28th and 29th January 2011 when we will be working with The Spine. I cannot still make complete sense of the wonders of fascia and its marvellous way it influenced our movement.
